Hey there
Tdang, I'm also a G1G1 donor and I saw your page going up and decided I'd drop off a few links you might find interesting. With regard to wired connectivity, see USB_ethernet_adaptors. Since you are in Arizona, you might want to check in with AZ_XO. Have fun. Cjl 13:22, 29 March 2008 (EDT)
- I haven't spent much time on the forums, I find the thread issues annoying, wikis much better for what you're doing. You've been busy, you might want to create a sub-page (e.g. I made User:Cjl/Path) and keep your top-level user page about you. Cjl 01:16, 30 March 2008 (EDT)
- I'm new to wiki etiquette--should I be replying here or at your Talk page? In any case, agreed on all counts. forums are messy for user guides, and I will want to break things up a bit. I'm trying to do a brain-dump first, and then figur eout organization. I'll check out your example page. Thanks! Tdang 04:59, 30 March 2008 (EDT)
- I'm no Emily Post of wikis being fairly new to them myself :-). I've pondered exactly the same question and I'm not sure what is considered normative behavior as I've seen examples of both on this wiki. One factor about wikis is the "watch this page" feature. Your own talk page is "watched" and you'll get e-mail when it is edited. If you really want to get an answer to a question posted elsewhere, you should probably "watch" that page too, but I realize that doesn't really address your query directly, maybe I'll ask that question of an experienced Wikipedian on IRC. I'm looking forward to trying some of the tweaks you mention, particularly subbing in FireFox for Browse and the gamepad e-reader mod. Cjl 10:11, 31 March 2008 (EDT)
