Refonte de la page OLPC_France
Salut,

Hi, I'm student in ERE (Environmental Relationship Education) in Quebec (Canada). We speak french in Quebec and I don't write very well in english (but I read it), so do not hesitate to correct me.
First, I look for pertinents links, Free Software and Free textbooks in ecology for kids. (Constructivist approach)
- Bienvenue! Moi, par contre je n'ecrit pas bien le francais... surtout dans un clavier qwerty int'l... j'arrive a me faire comprendre (par fois) :P
- Anyway, I would like to maybe point you to the Subjects (particularly Subjects#Science that has (an empty) sub-area on Ecology) where you could probably link your collaborations. --Xavi 19:09, 23 January 2007 (EST)
Thank you and yes, I understand you when you speak French. I hope that you'll understand me when I write in English :P
Recent changes
May I suggest the use of the [Show Preview] button when editing? :)
The Special:Recentchanges is being flooded... nothing personal. I've flooded it myself and been tagged as 'bot' (when doing massive categorizations) in order to avoid resenting the utility of that page. Cheers! --Xavi 12:26, 12 February 2007 (EST)
Thank you, I note it ;-) I'm too enthousiast !--Zyacat
Pedagogical Ideas
- follow-up to User_talk:Xavi#Pedagogical Ideas
I'm no pedagogue myself... so I my comments are 'free advise' (iow, use them at your own risk ;) The closest to an insider person I can point you to is User:Sj (OLPC HQ)... but then again, I don't know much about HQ either... you may also try contacting User:Jacobolus - who is also trying to organize the wiki (if you've failed to notice his editing barrage ;)
For what it's worth, I think you've done a great job putting some template structure, and looks good. I noticed that you have a lot of 'red links' in your examples, if you don't intend to have those pages actually filled in, you may want to enclose between the <nowiki> tag ie: [[Sample never page]] (made with <nowiki>[[Sample never page]]</nowiki> —just don't look at the wiki-source of the last one ;)
I seem to have fallen in love with the idea of sub-pages... which could provide a structuring page template and namespace handling. But I think it may confuse people trying to make, edit and possibly navigate said structure...
If you have any questions, please do ask! :) --Xavi 18:24, 15 February 2007 (EST)
fine idea, these ideas
Once it is more complete, we can move that page to simply Pedagogical ideas (which should not be a category redirect). I'll contribute more to your new page tomorrow. Thanks, Sj talk 15:26, 17 February 2007 (EST)
Hello Zyacat, Welcome to OlpcWiki. :) lemrichard
Translations & Templates
Bienvenue! I took the 'liberty' (some would probably say impertinence ;) of shuffling around some of your pages and editing the templates. I did so because I noticed that although the basic usage was there, some of the techniques or 'standars' were a bit off...
Sorry if it annoys you—but since I was the developer of the mini-framework, and you mention the will to collaborate with the translations of pages, I thought it would be better if at least the basics were inline.
I should really get down to write a bit about how the 'system' works... in the meantime, you could check the Category:Translated Pages, Translated pages, Template:Translated Page Template:Translation & Template:Translations (I know, some names are too confusing).
Cheers, and welcome to the effort (btw, I can read french, so feel free to use it) --Xavi 13:02, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
