MUST TEST
If these don't pass, we shouldn't ship. Gotta test them and hand back to devs to fix as needed ASAP.
- All smoke tests (Not done yet: Keyboard, i18n)
- #7587 - Sugar should start even if NAND is full or read-only
- #7932 - Upgrade failsafe script to add continue option
- #8281 - Private sharing of Write disappears
- #5428 - downloads not starting in Browse due to old compreg.dat
- #7588 - Sugar should provide messages indicating when NAND is getting full
- #7845 - software update aborts if ~/Activities doesn't exist
- #7879 - Wifi chip should power down when lid is closed and mesh is off
- #7921 - All activites LTR despite locale
- #8369 - 8.2 builds unusable for emulation (Note: I think this is important if we're to have a dev community from G1G1. I will, however, try to get volunteers to test this.)
- #8674 - software update erased Activities directory
SHOULD TEST
Would be great to test and close, but not 100% vital; Greg can always releasenote and we can 8.2.1.
- #7269 - Dari laptops don't use Dari characters (unsure of Afghanistan deployment status; if I hear they're using 8.2.0 for sure this bug goes to MUST)
- #7837 - Problems upgrading Pippy, Read, and Write (laptops that ship with 8.2.0 will already have recent Activities)
- #8372 - Remove numpy usage from shell (takes a long time to test, performance issue, 8.2.1-able imo)
- #7579 - dbus-python leaks object paths (takes a long time to test, performance issue)
- #8106 - make software update in sugar control panel work for library bundles (new shiny feature rather than breaking an old/expected one, manual install/upgrade of library bundles still possible)
- #8300 - shell launchers are leaked (long test, performance issue)
- #8376 - olpc-update -f 713 to 8.2 fails (upgrade issue)
CAN'T TEST
For various reasons. If any of these should be in MUST TEST, get the developer assigned to this ticket to make it testable ASAP.
- #8394 - sugar shell leaks presence service info (presence service does not make buddies disappear/appear reliably enough to get good test data on whether this leaks)
