This page contains safety and RF certifications for the XO-1 Laptop.

Safety Test Reports

The XO Laptop has the following Safety certifications:

UL/IEC

It meets IEC 60950-1, EN 60950-1, CSA/UL 60950-1, ASTM F 963, and UL 1642

Factory Inspections

EMC Test Reports

The original laptop EMC test report can be used to obtain certification in many countries.

International Certifications

The XO Laptop has the correct safety and emission certifications for the following countries:

Argentina

Argentina requires CNC and S-Mark certification

Australia

Also requires European wireless certification Getting ACMA tick of approval - August 2008

Mexico requires the NOM and CEFETEL marks

Nigeria requires the NCC and Soncap marks

The USA requires UL and FCC marks

European Union/EFTA

This includes (as of writing): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom. They require UL-CB and RoHS, as well as self-certification of emissions. They also require WEEE certification (country by country).
