eXe builds and sources should be included here; something for mackiwyg to write about. Ditto for other platform/format sources : moodle and plone modules and activities, for instance.

Religion

May I suggest treading carefully the path of religious content (bundled and/or available) on the XOs? Regardless of how anybody feels about the subject, many countries do have specific guidelines (and various degrees of legal quagmires) regarding religious content due to the various degrees of non/separation of state and church? There's a vast difference between religious studies from a historical or social point of view, and the distribution of a particular religious text. Xavi 19:40, 11 August 2007 (EDT)

Can anybody suggest sources for information on country rules and requirements for publishing religious texts or using them in the schools?--Mokurai 01:24, 20 January 2008 (EST)

Content Bundles

Musical Look at Waste - music - Instructions to build musical instruments from waste material by José Lúcio:

Portuguese - File:Olhar-musical-pelos-residuos.xol
English - File:Musical-look-at-waste.xol
Thanks for adding the english version on the sample library! In the word of its creator "Portugal has become richer for it". I've uploaded a new version, which should show correctly the accents in Browse (Forgot to delete reference in the html for windows codepage).HoboPrimate 18:31, 17 November 2007 (EST)

Holy Qur'an

Excellent start. Some guidance about the Romanized transcription in the Yusuf Ali version is needed. The pages look at first sight as though the character encoding is broken, but it's all UTF-8 as it should be. It would also help to give the approximate historical numbering of suras, not just the conventional ordering. Although the legal content of The Cow is important, it is not how Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) began his preaching.--Mokurai 01:24, 20 January 2008 (EST)

Languages

How are we going to handle multiple language versions of library content? Much of this material exists in multiple translations, and we can expect more to appear as the project takes hold. I can provide links for Lewis Carroll, for example, in French, German, Chinese, and Russian. No doubt there are others. Portions of the Christian Bible (New Testament) exist in more than two thousand languages.--Mokurai 01:29, 20 January 2008 (EST)

Either one bundle has many languages in it (in which case its info file indicates this) or there are many bundles, one per language (As with colingo). --Sj talk 16:39, 31 January 2008 (EST)
A spearate case : bundles with minimal lists of strings, which can have translations into many languages included in the bundle. --Sj talk 16:40, 31 January 2008 (EST)

No photos in animal wikislice

WikiSlice - animal is really missing something without the photos. Children will be much more likely to explore this if it had pictures. I understand the size limitations will mean fewer entries when the pictures from the original Wikipedia entries are included, but I think it would be well worth it. Cjl 22:12, 2 March 2008 (EST)
