Want to participate in the [[Health Jam]]? We encourage interested teams and individuals to apply using the form below. The application deadline is '''11:59pm EST on April 11, 2008.''' There is no application fee, and admissions is on a rolling basis; applicants will be notified of their status within 3 days after they submit their application.

Your team must be capable of producing something usable and Health-related by the end of the Jam. Alternatively, you can apply to be an independent Jam consultant if you have expertise that could be used to mentor/contribute-to multiple groups (for instance, providing art/graphic/web design services to all teams, or offering to translate the output of content teams into another language, etc). However, teams are strongly preferred. There is no maximum team size, but note that the average team size for a Jam tends to be between 1-3 people because of the tight schedule constraints.

If you are looking for a team, ask your friends, colleagues, and classmates from the area, or join the [http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/health Health mailing list] and introduce yourself as someone looking for a team, and ask if you can join somebody's project, or ask for others to join yours.

  • Come as part of a team creating something, start to finish, for the weekend; content, software, and hardware teams are welcome - apply here!
  • Come as a consultant working across multiple team projects in your area of expertise - apply here!
  • Come as a volunteer for the event - we need help making posters, getting food, moving tables, directing judges, writing emails,and more... (you can volunteer for the event and simultaneously be part of a team, or a consultant) - contact Mel
