There are a ton of ways to get involved. The first thing to do would be to create an account on our wiki at http://wiki.laptop.org (there's a "sign in/create account" link at the top right) and let me know your username; if you've edited Wikipedia before you'll be right at home (if you're new to wikis let me know and I'll explain better and point you towards some starter resources).

What are you interested in helping out with? We've got engineers working on the hardware, programmers making games for kids to play with, artists making graphics for all the programs and activities, teachers designing lesson plans and writing free textbooks and curricula, entrepreneurs teaching local people how to start laptop-repair businesses, people translating content into all sorts of different languages, students starting university chapters to help out, lawyers and librarians working on getting more content available under open-source licenses, filmmakers shooting how-to videos and documentaries... tell me the things you love doing most in the world, and there's probably some way you can do it to help us.

Once you have a wiki account, drop me an email, leave a message on my talk page, or find me on IRC, and I'll do my best to get you started.
