Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned to meet business needs:<br/><br/>• Perform general accounting duties including accounts payable, general ledger, journal entries, and accounts receivable;<br/>• Process payroll and oversee payroll activities;<br/>• Monitor cash flow;<br/>• Perform multiple bank and other reconciliations;<br/>• Assist with and monitor equipment purchasing;<br/>• Process expense reports in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with departmental procedures;<br/>• Monitor and process credit card statements;<br/>• Assist with year-end audit;<br/>• Process COBRA checks; and<br/>• Perform adhoc projects and other miscellaneous duties as needed.<br/><br/>Skills and Abilities<br/><br/>• Ability to multitask;<br/>• Detail-oriented;<br/>• Work independently as well as in a team environment;<br/>• Excellent organizational skills<br/>• Proficient with QuickBooks and Excel;<br/>• Experience with payroll, payables, receivables, cash receipts, collections, cash management, inter-company transactions, and maintenance of the general ledger; and<br/>• Experience with on-line banking, EFT, ACH and wire payments.<br/><br/>Education and Experience<br/><br/>• College degree and an interest in finance/accounting;<br/>• 3–5 years professional experience; and<br/>• 2+ years Quickbooks<br/><br/>The Accounting Specialist position is full-time with excellent benefits." msgid "jobsp30" msgstr "To apply send a resume and cover letter to: jobs-accounting-specialist at laptop.org"
