Get involved locally

The first place you should look to get involved with OLPC is in your community. Chances are that there is someone else nearby that is also interested.

Get involved in a regional group or start one!
Run, host, or attend a local OLPC Event (called Jams)
Help out at a nearby Pilot... or start one!
Create a Community Repair Center

The XO Laptop is deployed to children in many languages; we ♥ people who can help us translate in many ways. You can:

You don't have to code to contribute! There are plenty of ways that artists, writers, photographers, etc. can help out.

Apply for Summer of Content
Edit the Wiki
Join the Art Community or upload photos to the OLPC Flickr group

Translators

This is a global project; we ♥ people who can help translate wiki content, software, and content bundles.

Developers and Testers

Getting started is pretty easy for testers and developers. There is a strong developer community, as well as a developer support infrastructure.

Hardware

There are lots of hardware opportunities, from alternative power brainstorming to peripheral development to XO repair.
