Category:Translations lang-ko: Difference between revisions

<big>Warning:</big> There's been a confussion about the language code for Korean&mdash;using <tt>kr</tt> instead of <tt>ko</tt>. We are in the process of redirecting and relinking the pages. Since we don't want to create havoc or pollute the wiki as a consequence of this mistake (I'm to blame for the mistake&mdash;[[User:Xavi]]) we should try to set a standard mechanism that avoids further problems while trying to fix this one.

I propose / suggest we:

# move all <tt>/lang-kr</tt> pages to their <tt>/lang-ko</tt> destination.

#* the automatically generated <tt>REDIRECT</tt> should be tagged with <tt><nowiki>{{deletere}}</nowiki></tt> for its elimination once finished

# edit all intra-korean and other possible links in the wiki to point directly to the <tt>/lang-ko</tt> (instead of passing through the <tt>REDIRECT</tt>

#* a helper here is to go to the <tt>REDIRECT</tt> page and follow the link ''what links here''

# finally, and only when we are sure that we have completely orphaned the <tt>REDIRECT</tt> we'll start deleting them or redirect them to a general notice notifying anybody linking to an 'obsolete' page that they should update their bookmarks.

#* at one point all the <tt>kr</tt> references should be removed from this wiki, as that is a valid language code for another language.
